I'll be up up and away...

listened to this song on repeat for most of the day,
it just felt right. I like those days/songs.

I've been so stressed with school lately, it's ridiculous. I'm ready for this break (however, not the work that's going to now accompany it... sweet.)

been missing art for funsies this year, just finished looking through my sketchbook. Scanned some of them and just gonna post them for the fuck of it

Good lord.

As a photographer, I enjoy it when people enjoy my work. It makes me happy. I like it when I've taken a nice photo of you and you decide to make it your Facebook profile picture. But I absolutely despite it when you *not the artist* take the liberty of cropping my photo. I took it a certain way for a particular reason... because it looks better like that. Super-centered shots or a cropped square in which there is NO SPACE THAT IS NOT YOU IN THE SHOT does not look good. Just so you know.

I'll quit my bitching now, I guess.

frustration

This project, well to be honest this entire semester, has really been getting to me. While on one hand, I love working with people and being with people, when it comes to art and design related projects? Not so much. I'd just prefer to get it all done myself and have it all done in my style.

Also, it is wonderful outside. And tomorrow is supposed to be even better. I want to break in my new Nikon.

inaugural second semester post

I'm excited to be back in school, don't get me wrong, but this particular project? Not so much. I guess a lot of the problem is I really fail to see what any of this has to do with me as a photographer, and most of us and our respective majors while we're at it. The lack of clarity in the beginning stages of the project was incredibly frustrating and I think really turned a lot of us off from this project and from the man in charge of it...

As for the project, my group is mapping spots to take a nap in the art & design building. Our persona is Mars, a sophomore graphics major who also works in the print lab. She spends ridiculous amounts of time up at a&d and often gets very little sleep, resulting in her need to  catch a quick nap while still there.

A - sleeping [at a&d]
E - art & design building
I - Mars
O - couches, comfortable chairs, benches, etc.
U - tired and in need of a nap while at a&d

next step - as soon as we get the floor plan of the building, we will label all the spots that we have found and marked as good nap spots.

just for the lulz

No, but really.
We finished our letters today (finally) and for the most part they turned out pretty great, and I bet they'll look even better once we paint them. We also finally picked our location, at least, I think we did.
I'm excited for making the book, some of the ones that Linda showed us were incredible.

finished lettersssss
